Welcome to the blog for Swarm Gallery, a contemporary art gallery conveniently located in the Ironworks district near Jack London Square, one block from Yoshi’s Jazz club and the Oakland-SF Ferry, four blocks from I-880, six blocks from the Trappist, and a 10-minute walk from BART.
Swarm Gallery maintains a uniquely experimental world view, aimed at supporting emerging talent and contributing to Oakland’s cultural scene. In addition to rotating exhibitions featuring the latest work by Swarm’s represented and affiliate artists, the gallery also regularly holds artist talks, experimental film nights, and musical performances. Past programs include The Nest, a neighborhood artist-in-residency program, and curatorial advisory for Very Public Art Projects, a windows installation project.
